This is because the gifted singer born Abdul Sammir Hamman but better known as Ash left the country shortly Immmaqul’8, his defunct hip-hop group made a grand debut in the music scene with a hit track, which musical video rocked the airwaves, a couple of years ago .
Ash’s decision to take his trade abroad years back was filled with open promises ,address books filled with contacts but unfortunately nobody was there to assist the then struggling singer through the ladder of success.
Like a general saying that, there is no gain without pain, Ash’s aura that was filled with hope and determination, which radiated through his actions, voice and dream, eventually paid off. He made it to the UK garage and club charts with the single track titled Bounce to This in 2003. Aside breathing fresh air into Dubai’s music scene, Ash has rocked the stage of many international musical concerts. He performed live during one of the editions of Miss World beauty pageant grand finale held at London's Alexander Palace and has also shared the stage with the likes of Akon, Usher, 50 Cent, Kanye West, Montell Jordan, among other world acclaimed music super stars.
Interestingly, as Dubai is currently agog and Ash’s numerous fans are waiting in anticipation for the launch of his self-titled album slated for April 15,2011 in Dubai, The C.E.O and president of I.M.Q - Immaqul’8 Entertainment is announcing his return to Nigerian music scene with ‘Body and Soul’, one of the tracks off the album. Among Ash’s hit tracks are Phases Come and Go, I’m in love with You featuring Sway of Konvict and I’m sorry. While Ash has decided to retrace his step back to the root, his new single, ‘Body and Soul’, is presently burning the music charts in Europe and some African countries.
